Congratulations to Mother Superior Juliana!

On Sunday, August 20, the parishes of the Holy Trinity in Astoria and St. Sergius of Radonezh in New York State congratulated the All-honorable Abbess Juliana of Chile, a toiler of many years in the vineyard of ROCOR, on the occasion of her birthday. Mother Juliana has served in the convents in Jerusalem and participated in their founding. Later, she served in Chile as the head of the convent, children’s shelter and school, all named for St. John of Kronstadt . Mother Juliana is known for her confession of the faith, when she, as abbess of the Mount of Olives Convent, did not permit the Sergianist Patriarch Alexy II to enter the convent. Mother Superior Juliana feared no threats, rude treatment and attacks from the Palestinian police, but protected steadfastly our monastery in Hebron.

Many years, beloved in Christ Mother Juliana!
