Mountain View: May Services in English : Sat/Sun May 19/20

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Here is the announcement of Vladyka Andronik’s very kind commitment, of long ago, to provide everyone once a month All-English Services at Mountain View

May 2018 Services in English
Seventh Sunday After Pascha, Afterfeast of the Ascension and 318 Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council Tone VI.

  • Sat/Sun May 19/20
  • All-Night Vigil at 6:00 PM Sat
  • please note: Divine Liturgy at 9:00 AM for just this particular Sunday instead of 10:00 as before
  • Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia Church, 2781 State Route 145, Schoharie, NY 12157

Vladyka Andronik will be serving. He would be very pleased if more choir singers participate. Also, Altar servers are needed!

As you know, it is spiritually enriching to hear the All-Night Vigil entirely in English which is not readily available elsewhere. For those who wish to do so, there are many beautiful rooms at Mountain View, all with private bath.

  • Concerning lodging at Mountain View, please keep in mind that the maintenance of this very large Monastery Building requires considerable expenses. Because of the very close access to the Services, and that during that time one can easily rest for awhile and then return to the Services. Taking into account the accommodations provided, Vladyka believes $25.00 per person per night is fair and reasonable. Of course, for children less than 13 years of age payment for them is not expected. Please make your lodging checks payable to Mountain View Russian Orthodox Church. Vladyka welcomes and greatly appreciates your attendance. However, as always, for those who are – for whatever reason – unable to pay please send an email to BISHOPANDRONIK@gmail.com or call Vladyka Andronik at his cell fone 646.300.2300.
  • It is important to remember that Mountain View is not geared to provide everything. In that respect, one should bring, as applicable, twin and queen sheets, pillow cases, towels, washcloths and shampoo. Also, it is not advisable to drink the water from the tap. There is an adequate amount of bottled water available in the first-floor kitchen.
  • If you are able to make an additional support for the continuance of finishing the iconography of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia Church and completing needed works on the property at Mountain View that would be very much appreciated and, of course, tax-deductible.

To reserve a room[s] please advise by return email.

Thank you for your attention
