Joyful News About Ordination to a Deacon in the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand
On Great Saturday, a joyful event took place in our Church – Alexei Klestov, the son of Mitred Archpriest Sergei Klestov, was ordained to deaconate. Alexei grew up at the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the city of Sea Cliff, under the guidance of ever-memorable Bishop Mitrofan. Alexei was born in the same year when his father was ordained a priest by Metropolitan Philaret. From an early age he served in the altar and helped in the church, studied at the parish school.
He was tonsured a reader by ever-memorable Bishop Stephan in 2015 at the Holy Dormition Church in Richmond Hill. And he was the first in the family to be ordained by Bishop Andrew of Yarraville and Australia and New Zealand.
