Protopresbyter Gregory Kotlaroff celebrated the 40th Anniversary of Service in Priesthood
On July 17, 2022, on the day of remembrance of the Holy Royal Martyrs, Protopresbyter Gregory Kotlaroff, Rector of the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh at the Tolstoy Foundation, Valley Cottage, New York, celebrated 40 years of service in the priesthood.
The life path of the future priest was determined on October 30, 1969, when he was ordained a deacon, and on June 7, 1982, the day after Pentecost, Father Gregory was ordained a priest by the Bishop of Syracuse Laurus.
Father Gregory did not plan to become a priest, but it turned out to be his calling, and for 40 years he has been carrying out his pastoral duties in the church of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
For all forty years, Father has been zealously, diligently and with love performing pastoral service, taking an active part in significant events in the life of the parish.
