Bishops’ Conference of the ROCA Diaspora District

On September 22, the Bishops’ Conference of the ROCA Diaspora District took place (via Zoom) with the participation of the District Council. Among other issues, at the suggestion of Vl. Archbishop Andronik, a question was added to the agenda to glorify among the Saints Brother Joseph Munoz, the guardian of the Iveron-Montreal myrrh-streaming icon of the Mother of God.

This year marks 25 years since Brother Joseph was martyred in Athens on the night of October 31, 1997. Bishops who participated in the conference: Archbishop Andronik, Archbishop Sophroniy and Bishop Andrei, after a long discussion, decided to appoint a commission that would study this issue and collect materials for canonization.

Those wishing to participate in the preparation of the glorification of Brother Joseph, please send your comments and materials to e-mail: canonizationcommission@gmail.com
