The Conference of the Canonization Commission
On the 19th of December, the day of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, the first conference was held by the Canonization Commission, which was appointed with the aim of preparing the canonization of Brother Joseph Munoz, who was martyred in Athens on the 31st October 1997.
At the conference of the Commission the following decisions were made:
- The Chairman of the Commission in status is Archbishop Andronik. Bishop Andrei was appointed Secretary.
- For the Bishops to issue a decree to their Dioceses with the reminder to serve Pannichidas for Brother Joseph more often. And also to commemorate Brother Joseph at all Pannihidas adding to the dismissal the words: ”…and by his prayers may He have mercy on us and save us, for He is good and Lover of Man”.
- Begin the compilation of a collection of testimonies about Brother Joseph, which will contain memories of him, witnesses of miracles, posthumous appearances etc…This digest will contain only genuine, confirmed witnesses.
- Begin the compilation of Brother Joseph’s life.
- Publish on the Diocesan websites the decisions of the Canonization Commission
