The Parish of St. Sergei of Radonezh Honors the Blessed Memory of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, following the celebration of the Divine Liturgy the parish of St. Sergius of Radonezh, in Valley Cottage, NY held a philanthropic and now traditional dinner in honor of St. John Archbishop of Shanghai and San Francisco. Gathered in the Russian School at the Tolstoy Foundation the parishioners took part in moving and edifying conversation and memories of personal encounters and dealings with this Saint of our day to soul benefiting results. One interesting fact was shared at the dinner by the son of Bishop Stefan Sabelnik. Vl. Stefan carved the wooden reliquary for the Holy Hierarch St. John located in the cathedral in San Francisco. The incorrupt relics are awe inspiring to all who behold them.
