Aid Appeal for the Barnaul Parish – An Epistle of the Right Reverend Andronik, Archbishop of Syracuse and St. Nicholas, and Ottawa and Canada
Aid Appeal for the Barnaul Parish
An Epistle of the Right Reverend Andronik,
Archbishop of Syracuse and St. Nicholas,
and Ottawa and Canada
Beloved in Christ, Fathers, brothers and sisters!
The ever-memorable Metr. Anthony Khrapovitsky taught us that the fundamental principle of a Christian is compassion.
If we do not have compassion, then we cease to be Christians.
A catastrophe has occurred to our brothers in the Spirit in the city of Barnaul [Altai Krai], which is on the border of Holy Russia; their church was deliberately set fire to.
The rector, Protopriest George Titov who is a faithful son of the ROCA, has now endured the second arson of his church.
We appeal to all those who are troubled by this, to provide prayerful support of Father and his parish, and to give all the financial support one can manage as well. Donations may be made out to the “ROCA Assistance Fund” with the designation “Barnaul” and sent to:
