Decree on the Commemoration of the ROCA 100th Anniversary

Pious fathers and faithful members of our Russian Orthodox Church Abroad! I am pleased to bless the initiation of preparations for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of our Holy Church!

For the glory of God, celebrations of this anniversary in the New York and North American Diocese are scheduled to be held November 21-22, 2020 at the Holy Trinity Church, Astoria, NY. I encourage everyone to apply their talents and efforts to honoring the venerable episcopate, clergy, and all who have worked for the glory of God along this 100 year-long confessional path. I also bless the formation of an Organizing Committee that will work to insure that historical, theological, liturgical and practical perspectives of this commemoration are appropriately considered and presented in the planned celebrations. Hegumen Ignatiy (Krutkov), who was selected at the Expanded Diocesan Assembly for this responsibility, is appointed Chairman of the Organizing Committee. 

May the Lord God help us all in preparing and conducting this extremely important church event!
