The 2024 Orthodox Youth Conference

Thanks to the Lord, the traditional Orthodox Youth Conference was held from May 24-27 at our Spiritual and Educational Center at Mountain View in New York.

The theme of this Conference, already the 11^th one, was “God Is With Us!”, and for the first time, it was held in continuation of the Easter holiday, which, of course, reflected on all its work with special positive impressions.

The participants of the Conference came from different states, as well as from Canada and France. It is gratifying to note that for the second year in a row, it was organized by former annual participants, that is, the same youth, who have been coming there for more than a decade.

The Conference program, as always, was rich and interesting, included liturgical services, lectures, conversations in the auditorium and around the campfire, games in the gym and the outdoors, games of intelligence, a round table discussion, a talent evening, and a video competition.

Lectures for the children were conducted by Abbess Efrosinia (Molchanova), Hegumen Ignatiy (Krutkov), Archpriest Dimitry Dobronravov, Priest Lazar Ghales, Deacon Thomas Frazier, Nikolai Budzilovich. Yuri Lukin held a round table discussion. In their free time outside these activities, everyone was able to talk with the clergy and with one another in a simple and relaxed atmosphere, like one big friendly church family.

Why do those who participated at least once in our Conference want to come again and again? – Probably the organizers know some secret…
