News from the Parish of the Holy Assumption – Trenton NJ

Our parish in Trenton has grown quite a bit in recent years. We recently celebrated the wedding of two young parishioners who were married during Easter season on June 2nd – Christopher and Alexandra Conway. Christopher was baptized two years ago and enjoys attending the cyclical services. We were all very happy for them and attended a beautiful wedding reception in Pennsylvania. Many years to the newlyweds!

Our parish has also been blessed by a family that has begun attending our services. This large (McGlaughlin) family spent five years studying Orthodoxy, going to different parishes and jurisdictions, and finally came to stay with us and was baptized in May of this year. On July 20th, they greeted a new daughter.

Anthony Barros, who had also been thinking about Orthodoxy for many years, was recently baptized.

We also have a new priest, Fr. Lazar, who helps with the services, hears confessions in English, and concelebrates at services. His matushka is named Elizabeth, after the great martyr.

Glory be to God for All things!
