Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Canonization of St. Philaret – the 3rd First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad

Dear archpastors, pastors, brothers and sisters, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating the 10th anniversary of the glorification of the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, Metropolitan Philaret (Voznesenskiy).

The celebratory All-night vigil will be held on November 23, 2018, at 6:00 PM, at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Astoria, NY. The Bishop’s Divine Liturgy will be performed on November 24, 2018, at 9:30 AM, at the same church. On this same day, 36 years ago, the Montreal Iveron Icon began to stream myrrh. After the Service, tea and refreshments will be served and we will remember the life of Vladyka Philaret.
